All tools
10 modulesLabel Maker
Create and print cryogenic labels with exact positioning. Six templates, QR/barcode support, multi-select and bulk operations.
Open βPlate Designer
Map and label 6 β 384-well microplates. Pattern fill, dilution series, eraser and empty-well modes, print-ready output.
Open βSimpleBLI
Rodent and animal bioluminescence (BLI) experiments made easy.
Open βGraph Maker
A free take on scientific graphing: X-Y plots with replicates and error bars, bar/column and grouped-bar charts. Paste from Excel, export PNG/SVG, save to your account.
Open βFreezer Box
Map cryoboxes and racks with printable layouts, cross-box sample search, bulk fill, CSV import/export β now with optional cloud sync.
Open βReagent Tracker
Track reagents, antibodies, and kits with vendor, lot, concentration, amount, and location. Auto-flags expired, expiring, and low-stock items. Lab-shared via cloud sync.
Open βDilution Planner
Plan serial dilutions with calculated concentrations and pipetting volumes, plate maps, CSV export, and handoff into Plate Designer.
Open βMolarity Calculator
Convert between mass, moles, and concentration; solve CβVβ=CβVβ for stock dilutions. Unit-aware, solves for the blank field.
Open βMaster Mix Calculator
Scale reagent volumes by reaction count plus overage. PCR preset, per-reagent notes, printable table, auto-save.
Open βLab Timer Board
Run multiple named countdowns at once with reusable presets, audible alarms, and desktop notifications. Survives reloads.

Free browser tools for everyday wet-lab work
Simple Lab Tools is a focused collection of calculators, planners, and printable templates for research laboratories. Create cryogenic labels and QR codes, design 96- or 384-well plate maps, calculate molarity and serial dilutions, scale PCR master mixes, graph replicate data with error bars, track reagents and freezer boxes, and run multiple lab timers.
The tools work directly in a web browser with no installation. Most work is saved locally on the device by default. Optional sign-in adds cloud backup and shared workspaces where supported, while CSV and JSON export keep important records portable.
Transparent, checkable workflows
The site is created and maintained by Ron Gejman. Calculation pages show the relationship being used, accept explicit units, and keep the resulting plan visible so it can be checked against the source protocol before bench work begins.
Simple Lab Tools FAQ
Are these laboratory tools free?
Yes. The calculators, planners, graph maker, label maker, inventory tools, and timer board can be used free in the browser.
Do I need to create an account?
No account is required for the core tools. Sign-in is optional and is used for cloud backup, cross-device access, and shared lab workspaces.
Can I use the calculators for a laboratory protocol?
The calculators help perform and document routine arithmetic, but they do not validate an experimental method. Confirm units, reagent specifications, instrument limits, and final values against the approved protocol before use.
