This freezer box tracker maps samples to exact row-and-column positions in 9×9 cryoboxes, 10×10 cryoboxes, 8×12 racks, or custom grids. Label tubes individually, fill batches from a pasted list, mark empty positions, and search across every saved box to find a sample without opening the freezer.
Each box can be printed as a visual map or exported to CSV for analysis, backup, or transfer. JSON import and export preserve the complete box layout. Data is saved automatically in the browser; signing in adds cloud backup and shared-lab workspaces for teams that need access from multiple devices.
Use a unique box name and keep sample labels short but unambiguous. Record freezer, shelf, rack, and box identifiers consistently—for example, FZ2 / Shelf 3 / Rack B / Box 07 / C4. Export a combined CSV periodically so there is an independent inventory record outside the browser.
Yes. The inventory search checks labels in all saved boxes and opens the matching box and position when you select a result.
Built-in presets cover 9×9 and 10×10 cryoboxes plus 8×12 racks. Custom layouts can use up to 16 rows and 24 columns.
Unsigned use is saved locally in the current browser. A signed-in account can back up data to the cloud and optionally share a workspace with a lab. CSV and JSON exports provide portable backups.
