Print labels with an agent

Tools

list_label_templates returns the six supported templates, their exact dimensions in inches, capacities, and supported fonts. Match the template to the user's physical label stock.

create_label_sheet accepts plain label text, copies of each label, a starting position, font settings, and an optional QR code. For example:

Positions start at 1, running left to right and then down. Copies are consecutive for each label. Empty strings reserve blank slots. Each call creates one sheet; requests that exceed its capacity are rejected.

Print or save a PDF

Open the returned printUrl, review the sheet, and choose Print / Save PDF. Use US Letter, actual size / 100%, no margins, and no browser headers or footers. The preview shrinks text to fit and flags anything that still overflows.

Agents with a browser PDF exporter can open printUrl, wait for window.labelsReady === true, check that window.labelPrintError is empty, and export using CSS page size, backgrounds enabled, and zero margins. Sending a physical print job requires the user's printer or an authorized local print integration.

The returned editUrl opens the sheet in Label Maker. The returned sheet JSON can be saved as a file and loaded with Import JSON. The MCP resource simplelabtools://labels/guide provides printing instructions to agents.

Privacy

Label text is processed by the MCP server without being stored. The interface cannot read or change your saved workspaces. Generated links hold the sheet in the URL fragment; anyone with the full link can read it. The print preview loads only local files and does not save or replace the sheet open in your editor.
