Track reagents, lots, locations, and expiration dates
This laboratory reagent inventory keeps antibodies, enzymes, primers, chemicals, buffers, media, and kits in one searchable table. Record the vendor, catalog number, lot number, concentration, molecular weight, quantity, reorder point, storage location, expiration date, and handling notes for each item.
Status indicators flag expired and soon-to-expire reagents as well as inventory at or below its reorder threshold. Search covers names, suppliers, catalog and lot numbers, and storage locations. Molecular weights and stock concentrations can also be reused in the molarity calculator and master mix calculator.
Recommended reagent inventory fields
- Identity: exact reagent name, manufacturer, catalog number, and lot number.
- Storage: freezer or room, shelf, rack, box, and position where applicable.
- Quantity: current amount and a reorder threshold in the same unit.
- Quality: expiration date, date opened or aliquoted, concentration, and protocol-specific notes.
Reagent inventory FAQ
Can multiple lab members share the same inventory?
Yes. Sign in, create or join a shared lab workspace, and select that workspace from the account menu. Members with access can use the same reagent list.
How are low-stock and expiration warnings calculated?
An item is marked low when its recorded amount is at or below the reorder threshold. Expiration status is based on the saved expiration date, including a warning window for items approaching expiry.
Can I export the inventory?
Yes. Export the current reagent table as a CSV file for backup, review, or use in a spreadsheet.
